EXHIBITION: PEACE - by Degree South Collective

What do you get when you put some of Australia's most globetrotting, battle scarred and talented photojournalist work into a single, well lit space for patrons to peruse at their leisure? Probably something not too dissimilar to PEACE by the Degree South [link] collective, currently showing at The Monash Gallery of Art [link], in Melbourne, Australia.  

If the names Michael Coyne, Stephen Dupont, Tim Page, Ben Bohane, Jack Picone, Ashley Gilbertson and the late Sean Flynn don't ring a bell, then all the more reason to attend.

PEACE runs from the 7th of Febuary until the 28th of April.

Outside of RMIT (showing my bias here) The Photographic Studies College (PSC) [link] has the best photography program running, as such the quality of the work is right up there. With 19 graduates, covering a wide range of subjects and genres, there is something for almost everyone.

EXHIBITION: We're having a show at Bronek's studio featuring graduate RMIT BA(photography) students at Bakehouse Studio

Several very talented and recent RMIT graduates of the BA(Photography) program are having a artistic shindig of sorts down at Bronek Kozka's  Studio.  Opening night is the 13th of December and the beer of unknown origin will be flowing.

EXHIBITION: Illuminati - RMIT Diploma of Photo Imaging Graduate Exhibiton

Exhibition runs from the 1st till the 12th of December.

I know by proxy (thanks Mike, Joji et al) how much more intense the workload of the Diploma of Photo Imaging is, compared to the BA (Photography) program at RMIT which reflects in the quality of work I've seen over the last two years. 28 students covering a wide gamut of genres from fashion to sport there will be something for almost everybody.

EXHIBITION: Jeff Wall Photographs at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, Australia

Jeff Wall Photographs, a retrospective of the contemporary fine art photographer Jeff Wall in all it's lightbox illimiated glory, is on display at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) [link] from the 30th of November until the 17th of March.
